Willifi is an online will builder that provides Canadians a platform to facilitate the creation of legally binding wills online. Our mission is to provide Canadians access to affordable wills that will protect their loved ones and assets.

When you use Willifi (the "Product") or any of it services (the "Services"), you agree to the following Acceptable Use Policy, Terms of Service, and other policies outlined on the Willifi website. This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) outlines what users of Willifi and its services can and cannot do on the digital platform, network, and services. It is designed to ensure that the Product and Services are used responsibly, and to minimize the risk of the Product or Services being used for harmful or illegal, or unintended activities or purposes.

  1. Use Restriction

When you use the Product or Services, you acknowledge and agree to the following usage restrictions:

    1. Illegal Activities: You may not use the Product or Services in any manner that is inconsistent with any applicable laws and regulations.
    2. Security Integrity: You may not circumvent, disable, interfere, or otherwise tamper with any security or supporting infrastructure related to the Product or Services.
    3. System Interference: You may not interfere, disrupt, or otherwise create undue burden on the Product or Services, nor the infrastructure, users, or staff of Willifi.
    4. Data Misuse: You may not collect, extract, or use data from accounts or systems that do not belong to you.

    8. Legal Advice Disclaimer: A user may not construe the use of this service as a substitute for legal advice from a qualified lawyer.
  2. User Responsibilities

To utilize Willifi and its services, you are required to have an active account. As an account holder, it is your responsibility to maintain the accuracy, confidentiality, and security of your account information. This may include ensuring your Willifi account and associated email account (used for account recovery and communication) is private and protected using a strong unique password to sign in with or not sharing your accounts with others.

Any violation of Willifi's Acceptable Use Policy or Terms of Service may result in an immediate closure of the user's account without notice. Every violation is handled case-by-case by Willifi's Support Team to ensure violations are properly resolved.

  5. Limitation of Liability

The Product or Services are intended to facilitate the creation of wills for individuals with straightforward circumstances. Our platform may not be equipped to handle complex family situations or the distribution of complex business assets, nor does is it a substitute for the personalized legal advice a law firm or legal professional could offer.

While we strive to maintain the highest levels of service availability and reliability, Willifi does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of its services and does not provide a Service Level Agreement. We are committed to ensuring that our platform operates smoothly and efficiently; however, unforeseen issues may occasionally arise that could temporarily disrupt service. In such events, we will make every reasonable effort to rectify the issue promptly, but cannot be held liable for any resulting inconvenience or loss.

Willifi implements various security measures at multiple levels to defend against malicious and unauthorized requests against our system and services, but it is the responsibility of the user to ensure their Willifi account and associated email address remain secure. We cannot be held responsible for data loss, theft, or compromise resulting from user negligence such as failing to maintain the confidentiality of account credentials or not following recommended security practices.

In the unlikely event of a data breach or unauthorized access to our systems, Willifi will take immediate steps to address such incident and mitigate any potential harm. However, we cannot assume liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages that may result from such breaches, including but not limited to loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses.

Wills generated using Willifi must be signed in accordance with local laws to be legally binding. Willifi provides a platform for creating will documents, but this does not guarantee the legal validity of the documents once they leave our system. The responsibility for ensuring that a will is properly executed and complies with local legal requirements rests solely with the user.

By using Willifi, you acknowledge and agree to these limitations of liability, recognizing the bounds of our service and your responsibilities as a user. For further clarification or inquiries regarding these terms, please contact the Willifi Support Team.
